What does the term never been single on valentines day mean?

I know its not valentines day or anywhere near valentines day but people say "I've never been single on valentines day". What does this mean and how can you never been single on valentines day when people don't have a relationship till their teens?

1. It means they have never single when valentines day comes
2. I think they mean that since they have been teenagers that they have always been with someone on Valentines day
3. it means that you have always had a boyfriend/girlfriend on valentines day. and truthfully no one can say it.
